Tornio Hydrogen Hub - FI

Norwegian Hydrogen is planning to establish a significant green hydrogen production facility in Tornio, Finland. Located on a 20-hectare site within the Arctic North industrial area, the Tornio facility underscores Norwegian Hydrogen’s commitment to the hydrogen economy across the Nordics, meeting the rising demand for green hydrogen in industry and transportation.

In addition to its production goals, Norwegian Hydrogen's wholly owned subsidiary, Vireon, is actively developing hydrogen refueling infrastructure for heavy-duty transport throughout the region. This expansion into Finland, supported by strong collaboration with the city of Tornio and Business Tornio, will contribute to local economic vitality and align with the Arctic North region’s strategic development in sustainable energy.

With Tornio’s established industrial landscape and robust infrastructure, Norwegian Hydrogen aims to position the facility as a catalyst for sustainable growth and an integral part of Finland's green hydrogen ecosystem. This project represents Norwegian Hydrogen’s long-term commitment to a sustainable future across the Nordic countries.
